Quick to lay, minimal disruption
The benefits of a tarmac drive in Penn
A common, durable driveway material choice. Here's why it's so popular.
Quick to lay
Most drives go down in 2-4 days and you're back on it within a day or two, so there's minimal disruption.
Built to last 15-20 years
On a solid base, tarmac handles family cars and the odd heavier vehicle for 15-20 years without trouble.
Smooth, seamless finish
Tarmac lays as one continuous surface - no joints or gaps, just a clean, even finish across the whole drive.
Hardly any upkeep
Tarmac looks after itself - a sweep and the odd wash, no resealing like concrete and no joints like block paving.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can you re-tarmac over an existing driveway?
Sometimes - an overlay works if the existing surface is sound and at the right level. More often we'd break it out and start fresh, since overlaying a failing base only delays the same problems.
Can tarmac be repaired if it gets damaged?
Yes. Localised cracks or holes can be cut out and patched, which is much cheaper than replacing the whole drive. Done properly the repair blends in well, though it might look slightly fresher than the surrounding tarmac for a few months.
Are you based in Penn?
Our base is in Tettenhall, a short hop from Penn, so we cover Penn and the surrounding West Midlands with no trouble.
