Tarmac isn't permeable, so a drive over 5m2 that drains onto the road will usually need planning permission or a drainage solution alongside it. We'll run through the options when we quote.
Is tarmac good for sloped driveways?
Yes - tarmac is one of the better surfaces for slopes. It has natural grip when wet and there are no joints for water to track into. We've laid plenty of sloped tarmac drives across the West Midlands without issue.
