Benefits of a tarmac driveway for homes in Bilston
A common, durable driveway material choice. Here's why it's so popular.
Built on a proper base
With tarmac the groundwork is everything, so we never cut corners on the sub-base - that's what makes a drive last.
Tarmac vs concrete and resin
Tarmac wins on cost and speed against concrete and resin; it's plainer, but tough, practical and great value.
Black or red finish
Standard tarmac is jet black, with red available where the look needs to suit the property or mark out a border.
Good in the wet
The textured surface holds grip when wet, so tarmac suits slopes and shaded drives that other surfaces struggle with.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will weeds grow through a tarmac driveway?
Tarmac is one solid, jointless surface, so nothing pushes through it the way weeds do with block paving or gravel. The odd weed right at the edge is easy to deal with with a quick spray.
Can tarmac be repaired if it gets damaged?
Yes. Localised cracks or holes can be cut out and patched, which is much cheaper than replacing the whole drive. Done properly the repair blends in well, though it might look slightly fresher than the surrounding tarmac for a few months.
Are you based in Bilston?
Our base is in Tettenhall, a short hop from Bilston, so we cover Bilston and the surrounding West Midlands with no trouble.
