The benefits of a tarmac drive in Coven
A common, durable driveway material choice. Here's why it's so popular.
How it compares
Cheaper and quicker to lay than pattern imprinted concrete or resin bound - less decorative, but hard to beat on price and durability.
Colour options
Most drives are classic black, but we can lay red tarmac too, for the whole drive or just the borders.
Great grip, even on slopes
Tarmac's slightly textured surface grips well in the wet, one of the better choices for sloped or shaded drives.
Guaranteed for 10 years
We back every tarmac drive with a 10-year guarantee - if something isn't right, we come back and put it right.
Why choose Drive Tech UK

Frequently Asked Questions
How long does a tarmac driveway take to install?
Most tarmac driveways are done in 2-4 days from start to finish, depending on size and how much of the old surface needs breaking out. Tarmac cures quickly compared to other surfaces, so you're back to using the drive sooner than with resin bound or pattern imprinted concrete.
How thick should a tarmac driveway be?
For a home drive we usually lay a 50mm base course and a 25mm wearing course over a properly compacted sub-base - the spec that takes family cars and the odd heavier vehicle in its stride.
Are you based in Coven?
We're based in Tettenhall, not far from Coven, and we install tarmac driveways across Coven and the wider West Midlands.
