My property is in a flood risk area. Does that affect the driveway?
It affects the specification rather than whether you can have one. On low-lying Stafford ground a permeable surface is the sensible route, because it lets rainfall soak into the ground on your property instead of adding to what is already running off elsewhere. Sealed surfaces need a drainage design, and a soakaway is not much use where the water table is already high. We will look at the levels and the ground on the site visit and specify accordingly.
Do you travel out to Stafford, and does it cost more?

What time of year is best to have a driveway laid?
Spring through to autumn is easiest, but we work all year. The constraint is temperature and moisture rather than the calendar. Tarmac will not be laid below about five degrees because it cools too fast to compact properly, concrete needs protecting from frost while it cures, and resin will not go down onto a wet base. In a settled dry spell winter is perfectly workable. We will not lay in conditions that compromise the finish just to keep to a date.
